CAAE is an affiliate of the National Association of Agricultural Educators, a federation of State agricultural educators associations with more than 10,000 members. |
WHAT WE DOConnecticut members are involved in school-based agricultural education at any level, from middle school through postsecondary, and state agricultural education leadership. Agricultural Science and Technology Education (ASTE) programs serve secondary students in full- and shared- time programs. The ASTE programs incorporate a hands-on, active curriculum that integrates subject area skills and knowledge, applied skills in core subjects while incorporating leadership skills and work-based learning experiences through the National FFA Organization and supervised agricultural experiences. |
STUDENT ENGAGEMENTTeaching ~3,500 students in 23 Agricultural Education Centers, with students contributing $2,784,295 Total Economic Value through SAE + Community Service.

WORK-BASED LEARNINGSupervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs are student-led, instructor-supervised, work-based learning (WBL) experiences that provide practical, real-world career preparation within agriculture, food, and natural resources. Students recorded 24,347 hours in these activities. |
PREMIER LEADERSHIPCAAE actively supports the Connecticut FFA Association. FFA is the premier youth organization preparing members for leadership and careers in the science, business, and technology of agriculture.
