The May 7, 2020 State FFA Agriscience Fair is cancelled. Superintendent Harold Mackin is working on creating a virtual platform for the event. Written reports will be due to Harold by June 3, 2020.
The intended format is to create a secured website that student may upload a 10 minute presentation of the project. The video will then be judged online, scoring rubric to be provided by the end of April.
Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute (ICPI) offers an opportunity for teachers to become instructors of their Concrete Paver Installer Course. This is a 2-day course with a certification exam at the end. Students can become ICPI Certified by completing the course and completing 5 project of 10,000 sq feet or more of laying pavers - teachers do not been to be certified to teach the Installer Course. Proficiency & American Degree judging has been Postponed, date to be determined.
The Jr FFA Leadership Training, State/District training and proficiency award review is cancelled! Judging of proficiency awards will still occur on April 1st for all proficiency areas, as well the collection of American Degrees, State FFA Degrees, State FFA Officer applications and FFA Foundation Scholarships – though the location may change. Secondly, Ag Day at the Capitol scheduled for March 18, 2020 is cancelled also by the Commissioner of Agriculture.
